Overview
The composer is where you write and preview posts across platforms. Each connected platform gets its own tab with native formatting, limits, and media rules.
Your post is loaded automatically and saved in the background as you type.
Opening the composer
- Go to your workspace dashboard
- Click Create or open an existing draft from the left sidebar
- The composer opens with a header showing your connected platforms
Selecting platforms
- In the header, click a platform to toggle it on or off. Content Rabbit supports LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, X/Twitter, WordPress, Google Business, and Dev.to
- Each selected platform adds a tab. You can switch tabs to adjust content per platform
- Use the toolbar inside each tab to manage per-platform options
Writing and previewing
- Type in the active platform's text area. Character limits and formatting match what each platform allows. For example, X/Twitter and Bluesky highlight mentions and track character count as you type
- Use the toolbar for character count, and controls to add images, links, mentions, hashtags, and emoji
- For Threads, use the thread editor to add, reorder, and drag to rearrange items in the thread
- Preview updates live as you type. For some platforms you can open a full preview to see how the post will appear when published
Adding media
- Click the image button in the toolbar
- Pick from AI Studio results, stock media, or your media library
- Media is attached per platform. For Pinterest, a board is selected automatically if you have one connected — you can change it before publishing
Scheduling and publishing
- Click Schedule to choose a date, time, and timezone. The composer suggests the next available slot from your posting schedule
- Click Publish to publish immediately
- Scheduled posts show the scheduled time and remain editable until they publish; published posts become read-only
Post lock and collaboration
If another teammate has the post open, you will see a lock indicator with the teammate's name. Click take over to claim the lock and continue editing.
