Overview
You can move a scheduled post to a new date and time from the calendar or from the post itself. You can also unschedule a post to return it to drafts.
Drag on the calendar
- Open Calendar from the sidebar
- Find the scheduled post card on its day cell or time slot
- Hover the card and drag it
- Drop it on another day cell or time slot
When you drop on a different date, a dialog asks you to confirm the new time before it is saved. Drag is available in month, week, and queue views. Past dates cannot be used for scheduling.
Tips
- The drafts sidebar on the right lists unscheduled drafts. Drag a draft onto the calendar to schedule it in one motion.
- Queue slots appear as badges on each day. Dropping near a free slot snaps to that time.
Change the scheduled time
- Open the scheduled post
- Click the scheduled date and time
- Pick a new date, time, and timezone
- Confirm
The post keeps its content and platform selection. The new time appears on the post card and on the calendar. Related views update immediately.
If the post was previously publishing or had an error, changing the time moves it back to Scheduled with the new publish time.
Unschedule back to draft
To remove a publish time without deleting the post:
- Open the scheduled post and click the scheduled time, then choose Unschedule
- Or, from the calendar, drag a scheduled post off the dated grid and drop it in the unscheduled area, or use the post menu and choose Unschedule
- Confirm
The post returns to Draft and appears in the drafts list. Its content and media stay intact. You can reschedule it later from the calendar or from the post.
Bulk changes
To move several posts, reschedule one at a time by dragging. You can also duplicate a post to create the same content on another date without moving the original — see Post actions & status.
