Overview
Every post shows its publish status and the result for each connected platform. You manage posts from the dashboard list, the calendar, or inside the composer.
Post statuses
A post is always in one state:
- Draft — still being edited. It has no publish time and will not go live.
- Scheduled — has a future publish time. It will publish automatically at that time.
- Publishing — being sent to your platforms right now.
- Published — delivered to at least one platform.
- Error — publishing failed for one or more platforms.
Per-platform results sit inside the post. A post that is Published can still have a single platform that shows Error if that one platform failed — the other platforms stay published. Open the post to see a row per platform with its status, publish time, link to the live post, and any error message.
Actions on a post
Edit
- Open the post from the dashboard or calendar
- Change text, media, or platform settings
- Save — drafts and scheduled posts update immediately. Published posts cannot be edited in place; duplicate them to create a new version.
Duplicate
- Find the post in the dashboard list and open its menu
- Choose Duplicate
- A new draft opens with the same text, media, and platform settings. Adjust as needed and schedule or publish.
Duplicating is useful to reuse a layout across dates or to rework a published post without losing the original.
Delete
- Open the post menu and choose Delete
- Confirm
Deleting a draft or scheduled post removes it from Content Rabbit. If a post is already published, deleting it here does not remove it from the social platform — remove it there separately if needed.
Retry
If a post shows Error or a platform inside a published post shows an error, you can retry only the failed platforms:
- Open the post to see which platforms failed and why
- Click Retry
- Content Rabbit re-sends only the platforms that previously failed. Platforms that already succeeded are left untouched.
You can retry from the dashboard or from the post view. If the error was temporary (for example a connection issue), retry often succeeds without changes. If the error is about content, fix the issue first — see Content validation & publish errors.
Where to see status
- Dashboard list — status badge and scheduled time on each card
- Calendar — color and badge per day cell and slot
- Post view — per-platform table with links and error details when something failed
