Image Requirements

  • File types: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per image

If you see "Invalid file type", convert the image to a supported type and upload again.

If you see "File too large. Maximum size is 10MB.", compress or resize the image first. The image tools can help.

Video Uploads

  • Upload common video formats such as MP4 or MOV
  • Videos are processed after upload. Wait until processing finishes before you schedule the post
  • Large videos take longer. Give them a few minutes

Storage Limit Reached

Your plan includes a media storage allowance. The error "Storage limit exceeded" means your library is full.

  1. Delete media you no longer use, or
  2. Upgrade your plan for more storage. See subscription options

Permission Errors

The message "Requires editor, admin, or owner role to upload media" means your workspace role does not allow uploads.

Ask an owner or admin of the workspace to change your role. See workspaces and collaboration.

Upload Keeps Failing

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Make sure the file opens on your device, and re-export it if it is damaged
  3. Try a smaller file
  4. Try a different browser
  5. Disable VPN and ad blockers temporarily
  6. Wait a few minutes and try again

Platform Limits When Publishing

Each social platform applies its own media limits. Content Rabbit checks your media against these limits when you publish or schedule.

  • X (Twitter): images up to 5 MB; videos up to 512 MB (MP4 or MOV)
  • Instagram: images must be JPEG, up to 8 MB; videos up to 300 MB
  • Facebook: images up to 10 MB; videos in MP4 format
  • LinkedIn: videos in MP4 format, up to 500 MB
  • Threads: images up to 8 MB (JPEG or PNG); videos up to 1 GB
  • TikTok: images up to 20 MB (JPEG or WebP)

If a post fails on one platform only, check that platform's limits first.
