Knowledge Base
The Knowledge Base is where you store business context -- products, brand guidelines, audience research, documents -- that the AI uses when generating content. Each workspace has its own knowledge base.
Overview
Think of the Knowledge Base as onboarding the AI to your business. Instead of repeating context in every prompt, you store it once and the AI references it automatically.
You can:
- Create text items with product descriptions, brand guidelines, or any business context
- Save URLs for web pages you want the AI to reference
- Save YouTube links for video content you want transcribed
- Tag and organize items for easy filtering
- Mark items as "Always include" so they're automatically used in every AI generation

How AI Uses Your Knowledge Base
When generating content, the AI assembles context from:
- Always-included items -- your most critical business context
- Character-linked items -- context specific to the character/persona being used
- Manually selected items -- items you choose for a specific generation
The AI prioritizes items in this order, so your most important context is always included first.
Best Practices
- Start with the essentials: Add your core product descriptions and brand guidelines first
- Use "Always include" wisely: Only mark the 3-5 most critical items -- too much context can dilute quality
- Keep items focused: One topic per item is better than a single massive document
- Use descriptive names: "Summer Collection 2025 - Product Details" is better than "Products"
- Tag consistently: Use tags like "brand", "product", "audience" for easy filtering
- Review regularly: Update items when your business context changes
Limitations
- Knowledge items are scoped to the workspace (not shared across workspaces)
- Maximum 5 "Always include" items per workspace
- Content limit: 50,000 characters per item
- Content over 10,000 characters may be truncated in AI context
- Image and video upload coming in a future update
- URL and YouTube content processing (AI summarization) coming in a future update
Troubleshooting
Item not appearing in the list?
- Check that you're viewing the correct workspace
- Clear any active type filters
Can't create more items?
- You may have reached your plan's knowledge item limit
- Upgrade your plan or delete unused items
"Always include" toggle not working?
- You may have reached the 5-item cap
- Remove "Always include" from another item first
Changes not saving?
- Make sure you click "Save changes" or press Cmd+S
- Check for validation errors (name is required, content has size limits)
